Visitor Center Schedule

The Tallgrass Prairie Visitor Center is staffed by members of the Tallgrass Docent Program. Docents reserve shifts when they will be staffing the center. If a date has "reserved" entries it means that a docent(s) will be staffing the center and that the center will be open.

The schedule can change at the last minute due to a variety of reasons, so check the schedule just prior to your trip. On the day of your visit you can call the visitor center number (918-287-3623) after 10:00 a.m. to verify that a docent is on duty. If you plan to bring a large number of people (tour group, school group, etc.), please contact Kay Krebbs at 918-287-4803 or kkrebbs@tnc.org to schedule so we can prepare for your visit.

The visitor center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and from December 22nd, 2022 until February 28, 2023 .

Visitor center hours in December will be from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
